As Michael Slezak tweeted earlier today, part of his recent interview with Adam Lambert was featured on the O’Reilly Factor tonight.
But if you were worried O’Reilly would use it to bash Adam, well, no.
O’Reilly uses the EW interview rather clumsily to make a point about gay marriage, and left-wing zealots, but at least he’s finally giving the kissing photos a rest.
O’Reilly cites Adam as a “gay American” who isn’t a “zealot”–due to Adam’s nonchalant response (whatever!) to Slezak’s questions about the O’Reilly segment that introduced the photos of Adam kissing boys to a wider audience.
I wonder if Adam saw this recent segment…
Not spared an attack is Ann Powers of the LA Times, who O’Reilly claims violated his civil rights when she wrote that O’Reilly “tried to denigrate Mr. Lambert” in one of her columns.
He asked the LA Times to correct the record. Of course, since Powers was just expressing her opinion, there was no record to correct.
Poor O’Reilly needs a high school civics class do-over. He seems to have no understanding of the concepts “libel” or “civil rights.”
