Big Brother 16 Live Feeds Spoilers (Week 8 Nominees and Battle of the Block Results)

Find out what has happened inside the Big Brother house since last night’s live eviction here:

Last night Nicole was evicted from the Big Brother house, and Derrick and Frankie won HoH. Who did they nominate for eviction?

Derrick nominated Donny and Christine.

Frankie nominated Caleb and Cody.

So how did this all happen? Well, the credit should go to a bag of Skittles. That’s right. Skittles were drawn randomly to decide who will be put on the block. The plan is for Donny to be evicted this week, but no one was willing to go up on the block with Donny and throw the Battle of the Block. Derrick, Frankie, Cody, Caleb, and Christine wanted Zach to go on the block with Donny and throw it, but Zach admitted he would not be willing to throw the competition. Cody (who has never been on the block before) was adamant about not being nominated and was unwilling to take the risk. Caleb felt he has already volunteered enough times and did not want to be nominated again.

As a result, they resorted to a random draw to decide the nominees. A Skittle was assigned to Christine, Cody, Caleb, and Zach. The first Skittle drawn would be on the block with Donny and would have to throw it. The second and third Skittles drawn would have to be the second pair on the block (the pair that would win the Battle of the Block). Christine’s purple Skittle was drawn first, so she was assigned to sit next to Donny. Cody’s red Skittle was drawn third and Caleb’s green Skittle was drawn fourth. So that’s how the nominees were decided.

The funny thing about the outcome is that Zach’s orange Skittle was the only one not chosen, and he was the person everyone wanted to be on the block. Before the drawing of the Skittles, they were trying to pressure Zach into volunteering to go on the block, but he outright refused. As a result, there is a lot of resentment to the fact that Zach managed to avoid the block and talks about backdooring Zach this week have already begun.

UPDATE: Donny and Christine won the Battle of the Block! Derrick is dethroned and Frankie is the sole HoH.

Well, this certainly throws a wrench into the Detonators’ plan. Donny was the target, but now he’s safe this week. Christine was supposed to throw the competition, so if she did, Donny won the competition all on his own.

So what happens now? Well, there were already talks about backdooring Zach this week and that may very well happen if the Power of Veto is used. Victoria is another option to be targeted, but I highly doubt she will be put up unless Zach wins the POV and uses it. But if the POV isn’t used by whomever wins it, then it will be Caleb and Cody still on the block with Caleb most likely getting evicted.

What happens at the Power of Veto competition will determine who is the next one evicted, but at the moment Zach, Victoria, and Caleb are the most vulnerable. Derrick is also a potential replacement nominee and would be the best option to get out of the house. However, the houseguests don’t seem to realize he’s running the house until they have been evicted from the game. So I’m sure Derrick will be safe this week, but that may not be the case next week. A juror will be returning to the game next week, so maybe then Derrick will finally be targeted?
