Big Brother 16 – Bigotry Already Beginning

According to Reality Blurred, Hamster Watch dug up some instagram posts that reveal a high level of bigotry from Big Brother 16 contestant, Caleb Reynolds.

In an instagram that’s since been deleted, Caleb posted an item that contained racist, homophobic and Islamophobic comments.

The statement itself reads, “YEAH FOR OBAMA HE GETS TO SHRED THIS COUNTRY APART ANOTHER 4 YEARS ONLY GOD CAN HELP US NOW!!” A typical ultra-right wing statement–not really that controversial. But it’s a comment he posted to a reader who disagreed with his sentiment that raises a million red flags about this guy:

“You agree with fags? I guess so but I don’t agree with murdering A innocent baby which he clearly doesn’t mind. […] Your just a democrat that wants the Muslim monkey in office.”

ALRIGHTY THEN. Got to hand it to the guy for stuffing 3 really offensive slurs into one short statement! He’s a pro! Also, his grammar is terrible, but who is surprised?

Also, a video that’s since been deleted, depicts Caleb beating a live pig to death. It’s caption said, “Caleb had to swim across the river to get a hog and forgot his knife!! But no worries he used a stick instead.” Lovely.

As Reality Blurred’s Andy Dehnart asks, Why would CBS cast this guy? These items were easily uncovered on the internet by BB super-sleuths. Maybe CBS was aware of the controversial postings, knew they would be found, and purposely did nothing as they anticipated some headline-generating buzz for the show. Also, the network could be hoping that people will tune in to see if this guy loses it during the course of the competition. He probably will. Big Brother 16 premieres Wednesday June 25 at 9/8c pm and Thursday June 26 at 9/8c pm.
