Big Brother 15 Episode 18 Discussion and Recap *Updated*

Tonight we will have the footage from this week’s HoH competition and the Nomination Ceremony. Come back later tonight for my recap and as always feel free to discuss the show below.

It’s time to get down to business after a quick recap of Thursday’s Eviction Episode with GinaMarie trying to defend herself and we are shown more footage of Candice and GinaMarie arguing while the other House Guests looking on awkwardly.

When I said the recap is quick I lied since we get to relive everything that happened on Thursday rather than just a quick recap.

Aaryn is worried about how GinaMarie is ruining her own game. Apparently GinaMarie made a comment about Candice’s mom not wanting her. It went over my head until Helen reveals that Candice was adopted which changes my mind on the comment. It just didn’t seem necessary but after everything we have witnessed this season it’s kind of light on controversy.

Aaryn expresses that she isn’t entirely happy about being HoH during a double elimination since she will get a lot of blood on her hands. She says she will nominate who she thinks will hurt her game the most which translate to the fact that she will do exactly what Helen and Amanda wants.

After Aaryn wins the PoV we see footage of her making a deal with Jessie to keep her save while Helen and Elissa offer Aaryn safety for a few weeks to put Judd up so they can send him home.

Everyone is running around trying to make plans while Judd is confused thinking people are trying to keep Jessie save. McCrae and Andy feel heartbroken that they have to send Judd home but they think it is best for their game.

Watching Judd plead to stay is actually sad since he is actually one of the only likable people this season and he got screwed by people thinking he was the MVP. He tells Elissa and Helen that he doesn’t want hugs from them and tells Aaryn that anything said about him was a lie.

There’s a lot of tears flowing after Judd walks out but Helen is sure to tell people that Judd had to go. Helen is really coming across as fake this week and maybe she has always been fake but it is really apparent this week. I mean telling Aaryn that no one is after her is just a crazy lie.

Amanda tells Aaryn that she is with them now since she has proved her loyality. At some point Amanda is going to realize that she read Judd wrong since he was actually locked into the deal with them and Aaryn will play both sides if it benefits her.

McCrae and Andy are really hit hard with Judd’s eviction since they were close friends with him and they basically just stabbed the poor guy in the back. Helen continues to spout how Judd going home is best for everyone’s game but again I think it was a bad more for Amanda/Andy/McCrae but when you are living in a bubble it is easy to misread things.

The HoH Competition consists of a tournament with HGs using balls (cherries) to balance along a banana to top a sundae. Whoever wins the tournament will be HoH.

Everyone expresses that they will need to win the competition because people will need to start making big moves and being HoH will keep you save.

We start with Helen vs. Jessie. After some horrible playing Jessie pulls out the win. We are followed with Andy vs. GinaMarie which goes to Andy. Amanda vs. Spencer ends with Amanda moving on. And all this right after Spencer says he is ready to start making some big moves. We finish with Elissa vs. McCrae and they get to play with some comical music with McCrae ohhing and awwing as his ball goes all over the place but he does pull out the win.

Round 2 starts with Andy vs. Jessie. Andy says that he needs to beat Jessie because she is a loose cannon and no one knows who she will nominate. Luckily for him he moves on to the finals. Next is Amanda vs. McCrae. Amanda says that McCrae needs to let her win because she needs things handed to her rather than actually earning something. I actually love it when McCrae beats her. Amanda is pissed because McCrae didn’t throw it like Jeff did for Jordan or Brandon did for Rachel. Maybe it’s because McCrae is smart enough to know that this “relationship” won’t last outside the house. He says he didn’t want people to think he would throw things for others.

In the finals we have Andy vs. McCrae which is pointless since we all know they will do whatever Amanda wants them to do. Regardless Andy pulls out the win for his first victory of the season.

He has to pick the Have Nots and GinaMarie and Aaryn volunteer and are Have Nots with Elissa and Helen. Aaryn says she volunteered since she is playing up her Good Witch role now and this helps.

Andy says that he is uncomfortable being HoH since he is friends with everyone. We are then treated to footage of every one saying that they feel safe since Andy is one of their closest friends along with Andy’s crazed looks. One of the downfalls of being everyone’s friend is that if you win HoH you are sending someone who trusts you home.

We are then treated to Amanda confronting McCrae because he didn’t throw the challenge to her. She says that it wouldn’t have mattered if he lost since he is safe with both Amanda and Andy. McCrae seems confused with what the problem is but Amanda is crying. I am just annoyed with the whole situation and actually welcome the oncoming commercial break.

After the commercial break Amanda is still crying in the Have Not room as Helen and Elissa go to see her. She is upset that she can’t win anything but Helen tells her that she has played an amazing game and everyone owes their game to her.

She keeps lamenting how she doesn’t win anything and at this point it is past pathetic. McCrae finally talks her down from her emotional breakdown and she seems like she is ok now.

Up in the HoH room Andy tells Helen that he wants to nominate Spencer and Jessie because the house wants Jessie gone. Helen throws out nominating Amanda and McCrae since this is the time to make a move. Of course she doesn’t realize that Andy is tight with them. Andy is wondering if he should choose a side or play it safe and just nominate Jessie and Spencer as the easy choice.

It’s time for the nomination ceremony which should be different since everyone said they felt safe with Andy as HoH. He starts with GinaMarie followed by Helen, McCrae, Aaryn, Amanda, and Elissa. He has chosen to nominate Jessie and Spencer. He says that on a personal level he loves them both but on a strategic level he needed to secure his spot in the game.

Jessie and Spencer know that they are on the outside and are the easy choices. Spencer says he needs to start working his way into the inside of the house. Amanda says that she feels really save this weekly and hopefully she will be sending Jessie home this week while Helen is not happy with the nominations but plans on pushing Andy to nominate McCrae or Amanda as the replacement nominee. She says Andy’s actions this week will go far to reveal where his loyalties lie.

I think Andy made the right decision with the nominations. He is more loyal to McCrae and Amanda but can come across as just being scared and not ready to make a move to Helen. He needs to play it safe with her so that he can come across as just playing scared rather than actually making a smart but boring move.
