Remember when we posted reports that Caila Quinn was set to be the next Bachelorette? According to new reports, despite show producers called Caila Thursday night to tell her they changed their minds and were going with…OK here comes the spoiler for tonight’s Bachelor…JoJo Fletcher as the Bachelorette instead. Yes, Bachelor Ben Higgins chooses to propose to Lauren Bushnell on tonight’s finale.
That frees JoJo up for other things…like starring in The Bachelorette. It’s not typical for the Bachelor runner-up to become the next Bachelorette, but there it is. The spoiler comes from Reality Steve who has a pretty accurate when it comes to spoiling reality shows.
The change comes despite producers travelling to Hudson OH earlier this month to shoot intro footage.
As for Caila and why she was filming in Ohio on March 3rd? Basically, she got played. They led her to believe it was her, she was convinced it was her, they shot her intro package that day in Ohio, then they told her at pretty much the last minute, “We decided to go with JoJo.” From everything I’ve heard, Caila is not happy, nor should she be.
So there it is. We’ll see tonight during the post-finale special which rejected gal becomes the new Bachelorette.
ETA: I’m thinking the producers knew all along who they really wanted. They used Caila to throw spoilers like Reality Steve off the scent.
