Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock Marries Chris Siegfried

Congratulations to Desiree Hartsock! It doesn’t happen often, but a Bachelorette actually married her Bachelor. Desiree and fiance Chris Siegfried were married in Palos Verdes California over the weekend, a rep confirmed for US Magazine.

The pair met on Desiree’s season of the Bachelorette, which aired in the summer of 2013. The were engaged during the finale, when Chris proposed with a Neil Lane diamond ring that featured more than 200 small diamonds on an intertwining rose gold and platinum band. They currently live together in Seattle, Washington.

Chris, who is a mortgage banker, tweeted last week, “So excited for the big day! @DesHartsock and I can’t wait to share with everyone! #countdown #9days #hopingforsun.”

Desiree, who ran a bridal boutique in Colorado, before moving to Seattle to be with Chris, designed her own dresses with label Maggie Sottero for the ceremony and reception.

“Once Chris and I got engaged we started talking about the wedding right away — probably before the finale even aired,” Desiree toldy US. “We talked about what we would want and pieced together both of our ideas.”

“I’m most excited to walk down the aisle and see Chris,” She added. “And then of course to get down on the dance floor with him!”

Bachelor/Bachelorette fans may remember that prior to the Bachelorette, Sean Lowe rejected her in favor of now-wife Catherine Giudici on The Bachelor.

If you want all the details, exclusive photos from the wedding will appear in Us Weekly’s upcoming issue, on stands on Wednesday, Jan. 21.
