Contemporary dancers, Alexander Fost and Ryan Ramirez took questions from reporters today after being eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance last night. Here are highlights from today’s satellite conference call.

The think I found most surprising? Alexander was listed as a contemporary dancer, but he’s a ballet performer. His hardest dance style was…contemporary! Poor guy.

After days of anticipation and, for some, an overnight wait, Pittsburgh auditions for “American Idol” are underway today.

A registered crowd of more than 12, 000 is seated in the end zone area of Heinz Field, although the individual singing portion of what promises to be a very long day has not yet begun.

Simon Cowell Asked FOX to Re-Schedule the World Series

Simon Cowell asked FOX to reschedule the World Series?

That’s what The Wall Street Journal reports in a new and in-depth article on the man we love to hate. Afraid that the series would interfere with the X Factor rollout, Simon asked network executives if they might reschedule.

“I asked them if they would change it by a couple of days, ” he admits. Executives at Fox Broadcasting, which will air both, said no.

Alex Wong Snapped the Tendon in His Other Leg! No SYTYCD All Stars For Him!

Oh No! Nigel Lythgoe told the crew at Good Day LA today that Alex Wong who spent a year recovering from a broken tendon has snapped the tendon in his OTHER LEG! It happened on Saturday at an audition. He was all set to join the SYTYCD All-stars, but of course that’s not going to happen now. Dude has the worst luck!

Nigel confirmed to TV Guide that DWTS pro and SYTYCD alum Chelsie Hightower will join the All Stars, but Chelsie tweets that due to her DWTS contract, she’ll only appear once. “Very excited none the less!” she says.

Sara Bareilles Joins the Sing-Off Judges’ Panel

With Nicole Scherzinger leaving the NBC reality competition show The Sing-Off for a flashier judging gig over at FOX on Simon Cowell’s X Factor, the peacock network had a spot to fill on the underrated singing competition.

Taking Nicole’s seat will be singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles (Love Song). She’ll join fellow iconoclast Ben Folds and Boyz II Men alum Shawn Stockman on the judges’ panel when the show begins it’s 3rd season on September 19.
