The Voice alum Ariana Grande dating ‘Wicked’ co-star after split with husband

After news broke that former The Voice coach Ariana Grande split from her husband Dalton Gomez last January comes news that she is dating her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater.

Sources tell TMZ that the singer and Ethan Slater, who plays Boq in the film adaption of the Broadway musical, started dating several months ago during production of the film. Ariana plays Glinda the Good Witch.

Back in March a photo circulated, showing Ariana and Ethan next to each other as the cast of “Wicked” celebrated Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar win in London. The original is from Yeoh’s Instagram, which I could not find, so I yoinked it from The Daily Mail. TMZ also posted it in their piece.

Ariana and Dalton have not yet filed divorce papers, though TMZ’s sources say they will be filed soon. But their relationship has been over since January. TMZ sources say Ariana and Dalton remain friendly, and he’s been dating as well.

Who is Ethan Slater?

As for Ethan, he’s been married to singer Lilly Jay since 2018, and they welcomed a son last year. TMZ sources say Ariana and Ethan did not start dating until after he separated from Lilly.

After acting off-Broadway in Baghdaddy and more shows, Ethan made his Broadway debut as the title character in the SpongeBob SquarePants play from 2017 to 2018.

Ethan was nominated for a Tony award and also received a Drama Desk award.

He returned to acting off-Broadway with roles in Camelot, Assassins and Goodnight, Oscar before joining Ariana in the film adaptation of Wicked.

Born in 1992, Ethan was a sophomore in college when he landed the role in SpongeBob SquarePants. He Jay, his high school sweetheart, in 2018, six years after the couple began dating.
