Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez have been separated since January, and they are heading toward divorce, sources connected to the couple tell TMZ.
Fans freaked out when the former The Voice coach attended Wimbledon with her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey over the weekend without wearing her wedding ring. It’s not the first time she’s been spotted ringless.
TMZ sources say that a few months back the couple tried a reconciliation, but it failed. One source with direct knowledge told TMZ, their relationship “is heading for divorce.”
The marriage is over, but the couple are still friends
Ariana and Dalton have been thousands of miles apart since December, when she started filming Wicked. TMZ sources say they were having problems even before that. Reportedly, they are still friends and talk on the phone, but the marriage is over.

Ariana has been married to the real estate agent for over two years. They married in May 2021 after 11 months of dating. The singer announced their engagement on Instagram December 2020, with a caption that read, “Forever n then some.” The couple married in an intimate ceremony with close friends present.

As far as why the couple split, a source told Entertainment Tonight, “Ariana and Dalton tried to make things work, but ultimately they were just not a good fit. Dalton has been very private and low-key about their relationship with his work colleagues and hasn’t been talking a lot about their split.”
“Ariana and Dalton’s friends have always been concerned by their whirlwind romance and felt their relationship would ultimately be short-lived,” another source said. “Their relationship has been rocky at different points, and they’ve had trouble making time for each other with scheduling issues.”
Said a third ET source: “Ariana and Dalton have had issues for a while and tried working through them but couldn’t. Ariana has been filming Wicked overseas and working a lot. The couple ultimately decided to end things.”
Ariana served as a coach on The Voice season 21 in December 2021. While none of the singer’s team members advanced to the finals, she finished at the semi-finals with father and son duo Jim & Sasha Allen.
