America’s Got Talent 2025: Darien Johnson & Scott Mathison take workouts to a dangerous new level.

America’s Got Talent 2025 auditions continue on Tuesday, July 29, after a one-week break that featured the best Golden Buzzers. Check out an early release audition from NBC, featuring Darien Johnson & Scott Mathison, a fitness act that takes workouts to the next level.

The two formerly ran extreme workout social media sites as solos. They followed each other, but once they joined forces, their online careers took off. The duo’s most viral videos have amassed over 200 million views. With the goal of “breaking into Hollywood,” Darien and Scott are bringing the act to AGT.

Initially, the judges were skeptical. “Are we going to watch them bench press?” wondered Mel. B. Simon Cowell didn’t understand how they could make workouts “interesting.” But when the duo began tossing bone-crushingly heavy giant barbells at each other to catch, the panel freaked out. The act showcases feats of strength for the fitness set. It’s also dangerous. One mistake and bones are broken–or worse.

At one point, Scott invited Sofia Vergara and Mel. B. on stage. They stood back to back as Simon joked with Howie Mandel, “If you had to lose one, which one would it be?” Simon grinned as Darien and Scott toss a giant barbell to each other over the ladies heads. Remember, one mistake, and it’s a head injury for one or both of the gals.

“What you do is proper, fit and hot”

“What you do is proper, fit and hot,” gushed Mel, who kept her eyes closed through her entire time on stage. Sofia added, “I don’t think we’ve ever seen this on AGT. It looks really hard!” Then she mentioned, “Looking at your bodies, I can tell.”

“I think it’s entertaining,” said Howie. “It’s a strength act, it’s agility act, it inspires people to be in shape. I think you checked a lot of boxes. I loved it.”

Simon concluded, “I think a lot of people are going to find this really interesting. It was surprising and very, very difficult.”

Host Terry Crews, a fit fellow himself, added, “I love it. People have no idea how hard this is. These are my guys right here. I love these guys.”

Next, the panel delivered 4 big YESES, giving the duo the opportunity to be chosen to compete in the live shows, beginning in a couple of weeks! America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC, streaming next day on Peacock.
