America’s Got Talent 2025: Mike Munz joins Top 44, Astrid Jorgensen is OUT.
America’s Got Talent posted a lineup change on their Instagram insta stories Monday (Aug 25)! It appears that AGT has added personal trainer Mike Munz to the Top 44, while audience “choir director” Astrid Jorgensen has been removed.
Mike is the personal trainer who wowed the panel with his ability to isolate muscles all over his upper body. The shy Floridian could not only isolate his pecs, but also all the muscles in his back, chest and arms, creating an undulating rhythm.

Simon Cowell actually gave him a standing ovation saying “I wasn’t expecting that.” Sofia Vergara also found the act “surprising.” Mel B. called him “hot, fit and unique.” He received 4 yeses.

There has been no reason given why Astrid will no longer compete on the AGT live shows. She’s the act that conducted the studio audience in a mass-sing-along of the 80’s hit, “Africa” by Toto. Apparently, it’s a thing she does on social media. While Mel and Sofia didn’t feel the act would go anywhere, Howie Mandel and Simon believed that “everybody loves a singalong.” After Simon convinced Sofia to vote yes, Astrid was eligible to make the Top 44.
Astrid is from Australia, so perhaps she’s having trouble with her US visa. Difficulties entering the country–definitely a thing more common than it used to be.
How will the AGT schedule change?
Astrid was scheduled to perform on the Quarterfinals Week 4 episodes, airing Tuesday September 9 and Wednesday September 10. The easiest path forward is to swap Mike in for her. But AGT could wind up shuffling acts between Quarterfinals 3 and the final Quarterfinals 4.
Regardless, neither Mike Munz or Astrid Jorgensen are acts who are unique or interesting enough to earn a Golden Buzzer or viewer votes to advance to the next rounds. In other words–the change impacts the competition very little.
America’s Got Talent season 20 airs on NBC Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT. Streams next day on Peacock.
