America’s Got Talent 2021 is down to the wire. Three weeks of competition remain. FIVE ACTS from last night’s show (Read the Recap) will move on to the finale. After next week’s episode, the final 10 will be revealed.

It’s important to note that the poll parameters for the semifinals have changed. In the two results polls, fans will still pick five acts. But it’s the five acts that will be saved rather than eliminated. Speaking of which, the competition becomes more brutal as six acts leave the competition tonight.

I am still underwhelmed by this season’s talent. Maybe it’s because the acts and their shticks are becoming too familiar. There is always a sob story, or a kid act that isn’t quite entertaining, or plants who don’t really belong on a TV talent show. The best acts this week were Aiden Bryant, World Taekwondo and Jimmie Herrod.  I hope Aiden makes it to the finale. It’s obvious he worked hard on his act this week.

The judges are pushing some acts that are mediocre at best: Peter Rosalita has developed a professional stage presence, but his vocals aren’t there yet. At this point, I feel sorry for Michael Winslow. One day, he’s the star in one of the world’s most popular comedy franchises, next he’s delivering lukewarm comedy routines on a cheesy TV talent show. Dustin Tavella’s magic tricks are rudimentary, and his “storytelling” corny. I’m sorry, but that’s how I see it.

Vote in the polls, and I’ll post the results before tomorrow’s results show. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please vote the FIVE ACTS YOU THINK WILL BE SAVED.
