American Idol season 14 singer Rayvon Owen got some plumb promo for his new song “Gold” when given the opportunity to perform the song live on NBC’s the Today Show.
As it turns out, Rayvon is IHeartRadio personality Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month. The DJ was on hand to introduce the singer before his performance. Rayvon, you might recall, fought his way out of the bottom week after week, making it all the way to the Top 4. His tenacity is surely paying off.
Interestingly, Rayvon appeared during the Kathie Lee and Hoda hour. Singer/songwriter and The Four panelist, Meghan Trainor, filling in for Kathie Lee, mentioned SHE first appeared on Today as one of Duran’s special artists. So there you go.
