Karen W attended the Hershey show Thursday night. Here is her review:

This was my first AI concert. I am in my 40’s and dragged my husband and 13 & 11 year old sons. I have watched Idol for the last 9 years. Even though many people have trashed this season of contestants, this has been my favorite season. I really loved this season of singers/song writers. I am an obsessed Lee Dewyze fan, but will give you my unbiased opinion of all the top 10.
Didi Benami has a beautiful voice but her songs were mellow and not the kind to get the audience going considering she was the opening act. She would do better singing in smaller venues.
Andrew Garcia sounded good but I thought his voice did not carry over well in the big arena. I think he would also do better in a smaller venue.
Katie Stevens had alot of spunk on stage. I really liked the Christina Agulaira “Fighter” song. Her voice was very powerful.
Tim Urban sounded good. His songs were not the kind to get the crowd going but he did have alot of fans in the audience.
Siobhan Magnus was great. When I first saw her on Idol I initially didn’t like her but she grew on me and I was disappointed when she was voted off. She was very dramatic as usual but I liked the rocker edge that she depicted on stage. She has alot of energy and spunk.
Aaron Kelly sounded great and seemed very at home on the stage. He got a great reception from the hometown crowd. (My ears are still ringing from the screaming Aaron Kelly fans sitting behind me!)
Big Mike sounded good and has a very soothing voice. For me, he just doesn’t sing the type of music that I like.
Casey James was awesome. I admit being a Lee fan that I didn’t give Casey the time of day, but he is an amazing guitar player and sounded great. My husband and 13 year old son enjoyed Casey’s (and Lee’s)sets the best.
Crystal sounded great and is super talented. For me, I just don’t like her style of music. I did like “What’s up”.
Lee, what can I say, was fantastic. The crowd stood for all 5 songs. I sang along for all of his songs and cheered him on proudly. He had me at Chasing Cars and there was never any turning back for me.
He owned the stage and at the end he kept thanking everyone for their support, what a guy!
I would have loved to get his autograph but my sons were embarrassed enough to be there so I had to settle for the Lee tee shirt and picture that I purchased.
For anyone having doubts, go to the concert, it was terrific! I paid full price for my tickets during the presale and did not mind at all. Also, the Hershey Giant Center was pretty close to being filled to capacity. There were very few empty seats. I was happy for the top 10 that the crowd was so large!
