American Idol 10: More on Yesterday’s Nashville Auditions

Hey you spoiler lovers!

Brian Mansfield of Idol Chatter got to speak with 50+ auditioners who made it past the screeners at yesterday’s Nashville Auditions.

Keep checking back at Idol Chatter, because I suspect he’ll be posting videos throughout the day. But for now, you can check out Bryan Dixon, Walt Disney World ticket winner Danny Pate, Brother-sister Christian rockers Colton and Schyler Dixon, 15 year old Bonnie Baker, Kelly Dutton doesn’t put her eggs in one basket. She auditioned for Glee, and also for Idol, 16 year old Logan Allen, Power-popper Brandon Jazz (check out his video), and the first person into the winners room, Chelsea Sorrell.

Auditions in front of producers is the next step for these lucky hopefuls who made it past the cattle call. If they survive the producer rounds, they get to sing in front of the judges in the fall–probably sometime in September.  Hopefully, the producers will have Simon Cowell’s replacement in place by then.

In an early press conference, Idol producer Patrick Lynn was estimating a 15K plus crowd for Nashville.  The confirmed numbers turned out to be a little over 16K according to the Tennessean.  A very healthy number of folks showing up, despite Idol’s declining ratings.

I wonder if lowering the age limit to 15 helped goose those numbers a bit?
