On Monday night, American Idol season 10 alum Lauren Alaina took part in Dancing with the Stars “Country Night.” The singer performed her new single “Ladies in the 90s” as model and Instagram star Alexis Ren and her pro partner Alan Bersten danced the samba.

“Fell in love with these two. @Dance10Alan @AlexisRenG,” Lauren wrote on Twitter. “Thanks for making me feel like a “Lady In The ‘90s” by dancing to my song. Thank you to @DancingABC for having me.”

The judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli were full of praise for the routine. Len called it “the best routine of the night.” Bruno called the couple “a match made in heaven.” And Carrie Ann called them “the sweetest sambaing couple in the world. Their total score was a near-perfect 29 out of 30.

Lauren co-wrote “Ladies in the ’90s” with Jesse Frasure and Amy Wadge. The song pays homage to the era and inspiration for her career path and namechecks some of her favorite 90s songs from mentors and artists who played a role in her journey to today.

Lauren, the reigning ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year and current CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, is currently touring the country with Cole Swindell and Dustin Lynch for the Reason to Drink… Another Tour and will join The Voice coach Blake Shelton as direct support for his recently announced Friends and Heroes 2019 Tour kicking off this February.
