It’s Postmodern Jukebox Thursday! And this week we’ve got a real treat for American Idol fans. Season 14 singer Jax teams up with the PMJ for a Janis Joplin inspired cover of the 2000 Alt Rock hit, “Teenage Dirtbag” by Wheatus.
“’Teenage Dirtbag’ may seem like an odd choice for a PMJ cover,” writes leader Scott Bradlee in a blog post, “but the combination of its lyrical storyline and the Janis Joplin classic rock sound makes for a particularly interesting juxtaposition.”
