The American Idol season 7 alum just wrapping up a holiday tour this week. He’s set to head back out on the road beginning in March. By then, David promises to have new music to perform.
“It was one of the most amazing, hardest things I’ve ever done,” David said to the Home & Family co-hosts regarding his time competing on American Idol. “Just because I was always the social, awkward, shy kid. So to be like…alone to himself at the lunch table, to be in front of millions of people. was a huge adjustment.”
His shyness was so profound, pre-Idol, that he had a camera phobia. “My friends knew not to take pictures of me because I was so afraid of cameras,” David added, “I had to get over that really fast!”
As far as working with Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass on the music video for the song, David says it was “really fun” and the two were totally up for it. “They’re really funny!” he said.
