American Idol XIII Rush Week: Poll Results and Predictions

Here are your American Idol XIII Rush Week poll results! Who are your favorite contestants? Which Guy and Girl do you believe was most unfairly robbed of the opportunity to sing for America’s vote?

The results of the favorite performance poll are predictable–except that I expected Jessica Meuse, with the one two punch of a bad Hollywood edit and somewhat negative response to her Top 10 performance, to push her further down the list. Frankly, I’m happy she’s doing well. I’m still on Team Jess despite not being in love with her performance this week.

Most robbed is also predictable, and I’m on board with ya’ll 100%. Home viewers must have been stunned when audition and Hollywood star, Kenzie Hall, was denied an opportunity to sing. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth, and I hope dangling semi-finalists in front of fans, only to deny them the chance to sing, is a tactic Idol producers reconsider in the future.

Tonight, according to interviews with the producers, the Top 10 vote getters will be revealed. Additionally, the judges will ask 5 singers from the Top 20 who didn’t make the cut, to sing again for 3 wild cards. The judges–Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. will choose the 3 to create a Top 13 final competition.

My Results Predictions:

Top 5 Guys – Alex Preston, Sam Woolf, Caleb Johnson, Spencer Lloyd, Ben Briley
Top 5 Girls – Majesty Rose, Emkay Nobilette, Malaya Watson, Kristen O’Connor, Jessica Meuse

Wildcards: CJ Harris (If America doesn’t advance, the judges will give him a second chance), Marrialle Sellars (I hope not, but I think she’ll at least be asked to sing), Malcolm Allen (He was soooo good in Hollywood. He’ll be asked to sing again) or Emily Piriz (Jlo may press for Latina Emily).
