The Critics Choice Awards, a brand new awards show–yes we really really needed another one of those–took place in Los Angeles today. It was streamed online at VH1 and will be telecast on the Reelz cable channel (you get that right?) on June 22.
Anyway. American Idol won Best Reality Competition! Hooray! A low-rent award is better than none at all!
Glee was only nominated in two categories: Best Comedy Series (Modern Family nabbed that) and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Jane Lynch lost to Cougar Town’s Busy Phillips).
And Ryan Seacrest? Scorned again! He lost Best Reality Host to Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs. So You Think You Can Dance’s Cat Deeley, who is snubbed every year by the Emmys, was also nominated in the Reality Host category.
