Here is your American Idol 12 Final two! Candice Glover 23, from St. Helena Island, SC and Kree Harrison 22 from Woodville TX will move on to next week’s big final showdown. Angie Miller, 19 from Beverly MA was sent home in a shocking and emotional elimination. Read my recap HERE.
The duo will each perform 3 songs on Wednesday, May 15. Check out the spoilers on the three themes HERE. Rumor has it, the themes are: “Simon Fuller’s Choice” “Favorite Performance (a contestant reprise) and of course, the coronation single.
I’m hearing that Kree WON THE COIN TOSS traditionally conducted after the show to determine performance order. Kree chose to go FIRST. Candice will sing second.
When asked what winning American Idol would mean to them, the Top 2 replied:
“It would mean the absolute world. I definitely feel like, no matter what, I’ve come so far. Everything I’ve worked for will have paid off,” said Candice.
And Kree said, “It would mean so much because it would mean the sooner I’d get to make my record! More than anything, I would feel accomplished, knowing that I could make music.”
Also tonight, the American Idol 13 audition dates and cities were announced and include San Francisco, CA, on Tuesday, July 16; Detroit, MI, on Sunday, July 21; Atlanta, GA, on Friday, July 26; Boston, MA, on Friday, Aug. 2; Austin, TX, on Wednesday, Aug. 7; and Omaha, NB, on Sunday, Aug. 11.
