American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery reveals that he’ll be mentoring contestants on the ABC reboot.
The singer told Taste of Country Nights’ Sam Alex, “It’s exciting. I’ve already gone out to L.A. and filmed a mentor session with some of the contestants. The contestants were cool, great voices, and seem like they have great heads on their shoulders. It should be a good year.”
He’ll work alongside, iHeartradio host Bobby Bones, who has been tapped to mentor the Top 24 American Idol contestants.
“We’re working together, he was out there too,” Scotty said. It was really cool getting to work with him in that different environment than what we normally see each other in.”
Watch out for Scotty’s third studio album, Seasons Change due out on March 17.
