American Idol Ratings: Wins the Night, But Doesn’t Beat Dancing

via Zap2it.com, The Live Feed.

“American Idol” improved on its performance from last week, rising by more than a million viewers as it ran away with Tuesday’s ratings crown. As things stand now, though, it trails the “Dancing with the Stars” premiere for the week’s most-watched honors.

Monday’s Dancing with the Stars premiere averaged 23.9 million viewers, 6.3 preliminary adults 18-49 rating, Last night’s American Idol averaged slightly below at 23.8 million, 8.3, up a couple of tenths from last week.

*Yes, Rickey, Idol’s demo is higher, but Dancing had more viewers and will be the most watched show this week.
