American Idol loses half a percentage point vs last Thursday’s 3.4 adults rating. But it’s up a bit from last Wednesday’s 2.8 final rating. Idol has been typically gaining a 10th of a percentage point when the final numbers are released in the afternoon. I expect Idol to rise to 3.0.
Empire will probably rise a bit too. But does it matter? Although it stayed steady vs last week, it’s numbers, a 4.3 and 11 million viewers, are phenomenal.
On FOX, American Idol earned a 2.9, down half a ratings point from last week’s 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Empire scored a 4.3, down a tenth from last week’s 4.4 adults 18-49 rating (but flat with last week’s preliminary rating).
