The American Idol Live! tour has hit the east coast. Ahead of tonight’s show in Westbury, New York, winner Maddie Poppe stopped by Good Morning America to perform a sweet acoustic version of her winners single, “Going Going Gone.”
The singer DID appear on GMA the day after her win, but reserved her performance for an appearance later that morning on Live with Kelly & Ryan.
Of course, by her side, was American Idol runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, who also happens to be her boyfriend. On touring with Caleb, Maddie shared with GMA host Michael Strahan, “It’s awesome. This is our first time–both of us–on the road.” She added, “It’s good to have each other. Because it’s really hard to be away from our families. But it’s awesome that we get to go through this together for the first time.”
Additionally today, Maddie and Caleb along with season 8 winner Kris Allen for two acoustic performances on the Empire State building’ famous 86th Floor Observatory.
