American Idol 2023 Hometown Visits : Top 3 Iam Tongi, Megan Danielle, Colin Stough are welcomed home

The American Idol Top 3–Iam Tongi, Megan Danielle and Colin Stoughtraveled to their hometowns on Tuesday to film sentimental segments for Sunday’s grand finale.

Iam flew to Oahu Hawaii where thousands watched him perform at Turtle Bay Resort. But first, Kahuku High presented Tongi with a honorary degree and a special haka performance from fellow students on Monday.

On Tuesday, Iam left Laie in a convoy. Hundreds gathered outside the Polynesian Cultural Center as the singer started the nearly 6-mile journey to Turtle Bay. “It’s crazy,” Iam said. “I love all the support!”

At the concert, Iam was joined on stage by Jack Johnson, John Cruz and Paula Fuga. The singer performed several island favorites in addition to his viral audition song, “Monsters” by James Blunt, whih he sang in tribute to his late father Rodney.

Iam received an “honorary” diploma from his high school. Right now, the 18 year old lives in Seattle with his family.

Hundreds gathered in the Douglasville town square for Megan Danielle

Megan Danielle headed back to Douglasville Georgia, as the town held a parade, pep rally and concert in her honor.

“We are thrilled to welcome Megan home and celebrate her success,” said Douglas County Board of Commissioners Vice-Chairman Tarenia Carthan. “We are so proud of what she has accomplished and the hope she represents for all of us who dare to dream big.”

Hundreds gathered in the town square for her homecoming. “I’ve always dreamed of being a person someone could look up to and someone who is a believer in Jesus. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do,” Danielle said.

May 16 declared “Colin Stough Day”

Colin Stough headed back to Monroe county, Mississippi for his homecoming.

According to WTVA, Colin pulled up to the school in a tour bus where students and staff welcomed him with cheers and signs. The Monroe County School District named May 16 “Colin Stough Day.” The school also presented him with his No. 5 football jersey he wore while playing for the Tigers.

“My biggest thing growing up through school, you know, I wanted to be somebody and, you know, just leave something behind after my time is done and I think, I think I accomplished that.” Check out a ton of photos at WTVA.

Next, Colin took part in a parade down Amory Main Street. Hatley is a few miles east of Amory. He ended the night with a public concert at the Hatley High School football stadium.
