FOX released Live +7 Ratings for the week of January 5. These numbers will cover , specifically the series premier of Empire and the season premiere of American Idol, Glee and a few other FOX shows.
Live +7 Days includes all of the watching on all platforms, including DVR, VOD and streaming services within a 7 day period.
Some shows ratings can jump significantly when extended viewing windows are taken into account.
Empire had already garnered an impressive 3.8 for it’s premiere (and ratings would CONTINUE to rise in its 2nd AND 3rd weeks!) the show rose another 47 percent to a 5.6 in the demo after 7 days.
Poor Glee had nowhere to go but up. I’m not surprised, considering the Friday night time slot, that the ratings shot up 62% from .07 to 1.3.
American Idol, available on VOD and streaming services for the first time ever, saw a more modest gain of 22% on Wednesday, up from 3.2 to 3.9 and 23% on Thursday, up from 3.1 t0 3.8.
