American Idol’s Caleb Johnson Drops Nostalgic ‘Born and Raised’ Music Video

American Idol season 13 winner Caleb Johnson has released the music video for his new single “Born and Raised.”

The video, a tribute to his hometown, Asheville, North Carolina, begins with Caleb driving around town in his car, musing about how his life and music was shaped by the place where he grew up. “People, place, and the music. I think it all stems from where you’re born and raised,” says Caleb.

“I am so excited to finally share with y’all my brand new single!” Caleb writes on Twitter, “‘Born and Raised’ is a love letter to the place, people and music that shaped who I am. Love y’all and appreciate your support ! Crack a cold one and crank it up!”

Caleb has been busy these days. He’s set to embark on the east coast leg of Trans Siberian Orchestra’s 2018 holiday tour. Additionally, the singer will be playing dates with the legendary Meat Loaf. Caleb will perform the songs, while Meat Loaf will tell stories that document his long career. Also, Caleb has re-recorded the classic album, Bat Out Of Hell with Meat Loaf’s band, which is available now.
