American Idol 2025 will reveal the Top 20 in a three hour Easter worship themed special on Sunday April 20. In the meantime, here are the results for polls we posted after each show. The Top 24 aired in two parts across two nights. America’s vote will eliminate two singers from each night of performances.

It’s important to note that American Idol filmed the Top 20 reveal episode on Wednesday night! (April 16). But unlike the past few years, it’s Friday night (April 18) and there are NO SPOILERS. At least not yet. If we do get spoilers, the post will go up on the website. PLEASE DON’T DISCUSS SPOILERS ANYWHERE OUTSIDE OF THE SPOILER POST.
UPDATE: Reportedly, according to posters on IdolForms.com, Breanna Nix said in a live chat on TikTok that the contestants don’t know who was eliminated. A taping for Sunday’s episode took place on Wednesday and the show hasn’t announced Sunday is live. Folks are speculating that the Top 24 taped their performances for broadcast, but the Top 20 will be revealed live. Or maybe Brianna is fibbing to throw every one off!

And FYI: The LIVE SHOWS begin on Monday, April 21, as American Idol reveals the Top 14! “The Top 14 are revealed as the finalists return to the stage with powerful, emotional live performances from Hollywood.”
On Sunday, April 27 it’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame night “With guidance from an award-winning guest mentor, the Top 14 take on iconic songs from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends as America votes live for the Top 12.
American Idol airs Sunday and Monday on ABC at 8 pm ET/PT streaming next day on HULU

You all predicted that Penny Samar and Baylee Littrell are heading home. Hm. Baylee has had a ton of screen time and he’s the son of Brian Littrell of of Backstreet Boys. He’s likely sticking around, at least for now. Penny is a good bet. But while Zaylie’s performances have been uneven, the judges love her and she’s had a ton of screen time….

Kyana Fanene has had so little screen time, that her leaving the competition on Sunday would not be surprising. However, it would be a shame, because her performances are all pretty great. Grayson Torrence suffers from both lack of screentime, and uneven performances. Her elimination seems reasonable.
