Last year, for it’s 20th season, American Idol taped the Showstopper round on December 10. Fifty-nine contestants competed in the round, but that number varies from year to year. Hollywood Week, which features duets and solo rounds, will take place in the days before American Idol tapes the Showstopper round, so keep your eyes peeled!
