The American Idol Top 10 visited Disneyland in Anaheim California this week to prepare for the annual “Disney Night.” Each of the contestants picked a song from the Disney catalog to perform in front of judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, and viewers at home.

American Idol 2022: Top 10 Disney Night Song Suggestions
Fans can vote for their favorite contestants during the broadcast, which will air in all time zones simultaneously. Host Ryan Seacrest will announce the results at the end of the show. Three contestants will head home.
Dancing with the Stars judge Derek Hough is on hand to mentor the contestants at the park. He’s taking the place of Dear Evan Hansen actor/singer Ben Platt who had to bow out at the last minute. Also, according to social media posts from the contestants, their families will join them at the park.
Plus, Rhenzy and Adassa will perform “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” the No. 1 hit song from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Oscar-winning feature Encanto. This Sunday’s episode will also celebrate the return of nighttime spectaculars at the Disneyland Resort, including the 50th anniversary of the Main Street Electrical Parade.

American Idol season 20 “Disney Night” airs on ABC Sunday May 1 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT. On Monday May 2, at 8 p.m. ET/PT watch the hour-long “The Great Idol Reunion.” In celebration of its milestone 20th season, American Idol alums Ruben Studdard, Scotty McCreery, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Lauren Alaina, Kris Allen, Maddie Poppe, Laine Hardy, Willie Spence, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Grace Kinstler, Laci Kaye Booth will perform. Additionally, former Idol judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson will stop by to help celebrate.
