American Idol taped the Top 16 reveal and performance episode this week. It’s the LAST taped-ahead show of the season. During the episode, which airs Sunday April 11, the 16 singers from the Top 24 who will advance to the next round are revealed and will sing for your votes. On Monday April 12, the Top 12 will be revealed LIVE. First, the Top 10 vote getters will be announced, leaving 6 contestants to perform for a chance at one of two spots picked by the judges. On Sunday, April 18 the Top 12 will sing Oscar nominated songs for your votes.
And rumor has it, that on Monday April 19, 10 singers from the season 18 Top 20 will comeback to sing for another crack at the Idol crown.

Now, for fun, here are the results of this week’s “Who is leaving the competition” poll. The biggest misses were Mary Jo Young and Graham DeFranco. Personally, I thought Graham could make it. The judges were pushing him hard. But I thought Mary Jo’s TikTok fans would save her. I am suprised that Deshawn made the cut. He didn’t seem to garner much attention or recieve a ton of screen time..
