American Idol 2020: Will Sardines Be Next Pants on the Ground? (VIdeo)

AMERICAN IDOL - "302 (Auditions)" - The "American Idol" bus continues its journey to Savannah, Georgia; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles, California, and Sunriver, Oregon, on an all-new episode of "American Idol," SUNDAY, FEB. 23 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on ABC. It appears that American Idol is looking for another “Pants on the Ground” viral moment with this little ditty “Sardines.” On Youtube, Idol declares, “Trust us this song will be in your head all day.” PROBABLY NOT! But OK!

The thing is, the show is treating the singer, Eliza Catastrophe, like a joke audition. But, actually, she’s a serious musician who released a well received album of pop songs. Even if the judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan say no (and by the looks on their faces, I have a feeling…) I suppose the exposure will be worth it?

Eliza Catastrophe’s fishy American Idol audition airs Sunday February 23 on ABC at 8 pm ET/PT. Watch it below.
