It took ages to put the cast together for the ABC reboot of American Idol, but finally the judges panel–Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie–plus host Ryan Seacrest are together in New York City to audition hopefuls for the show.

The cast will be making a stop at Good Morning America Wednesday morning (October 4) on their way to more auditions. In the meantime, check out photos from the first day of auditions from Ryan Seacrest and the American Idol social media feeds.

American Idol season 16 is set to air March 2018 on ABC.
