On Thursday, the remaining 12 American Idol 15 Top 24 will perform duets with “fan-favorite” Idols in front of the judges before they learn if they were advanced to the Top 14.

Here is Dalton Rapattoni chatting with his mentor, season 5 Idol, Chris Daughtry about performing Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground.” Chris sang the song for Stevie Wonder week during his season. I recall him being ecstatic that Stevie wrote a song covered by a rock band (Red Hot Chile Peppers)!

Dalton shares that the first album he ever received was a Daughtry CD for Christmas!. Chris confesses that he always felt he could have done this song better on the show (Really?). Now he gets a do over.

Constantine Maroulis from Season 4 and Shelbie Z will take on Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Constantine’s rendition was a major game changer for him. We’ll see if Shelbie can rise to the occasion. Check out a clip from their mentoring session here.
