Tonight on American Idol, the Top 7 will perform TWO songs. The theme is “American Classics.” The songs were suggestions solicited by American Idol from fans a few weeks ago. Click for Song Spoilers.

Also, the Bottom Two will face off against each other in a sing off for your twitter vote. Which two singers are in jeopardy? Which singer will head home? Let’s examine the results of last week’s poll before I make a prediction.

American Idol 14 – Top 8 Favorite Performance

Performances from Clark Beckham and Tyanna Jones were far and away your favorites. The remaining singers earned less than 10% of the vote apiece. Clearly, Clark and Tyanna have nothing to worry about this week. Rayvon Owen appears to be in trouble. It’s hard to imagine he would be saved 3 weeks in a row, and particularly against the finalists who remain. Favorites, Joey Cook and Jax faltered this week. And it seems that ya’ll agree with judge Harry Connick Jr., rather than Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez, when it comes to Nick Fradiani’s “Teenage Dream” flip.

  1. Clark Beckham – Make it Rain 34.83%
  2. Tyanna Jones – Stay 25.59%
  3. Quentin Alexander – Latch 9.85%
  4. Jax – Pokerface 8.88%
  5. Nick Fradiani – Teenage Dream 8.36%
  6. Joey Cook – Wrecking Ball 7.92%
  7. Rayvon Owen – Set Fire to the Rain 3.25%

American Idol 14 – Who SHOULD go Home next week?

Most of you are ready to see Rayvon Owen head home.

  1. Rayvon Owen 61.99%
  2. Nick Fradiani 11.19%
  3. Jax 9.5%
  4. Joey Cook 9.22%
  5. Quentin Alexander 4.61%
  6. Tyanna Jones 2.35%
  7. Clark Beckham 1.13%

American Idol 14 – Who WILL go Home next week?

And even more of you believe Rayvon’s time on American Idol is over.

  1. Rayvon Owen 81.19%
  2. Nick Fradiani 4.97%
  3. Jax 4.78%
  4. Joey Cook 3.8%
  5. Quentin Alexander 3.31%
  6. Tyanna Jones 1.36%
  7. Clark Beckham 0.58%

Prediction: Who is going home? Rayvon Owen landed in the bottom two weeks in a row. Even a solid performance of Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” couldn’t save him from the bottom 2 last week. It’s not a stretch to predict he’ll be singing for survival again this week. It’s also a pretty safe bet to assume he’ll be leaving the show. But it’s that 2nd spot that is tricky to determine. I think it will be either Joey Cook, Jax, or Nick Fradiani. If I were pushed to choose: I think we may have a bit of a shocker this week, with Joey Cook landing in the bottom 2. She’ll sing and win the twitter vote. Nick is a possibility, but I think the white male HAC thing is still an advantage for him. Plus, Howard Stern has been shilling for him. He’s got rabid fans as listeners, who are not typically Idol voters.
