On the American Idol Hollywood Week solo round episode, airing Thursday February 12 at 8/7c pm, contestant Quentin Alexander gets a little help from a judge Jennifer Lopez when taking off his coat for his performance!
Quentin makes sure to give the judges a little drama in the clothes removal department. As we saw in his audition, Quentin’s outfits are super-fly!
During the clip we see a snip of Quentin’s New Orleans audition and his sit down with the judges. The “interview” is a new twist to the Idol paring down process. Typically, the judges NEVER speak to the contestants, but now, each remaining hopeful goes through an interview, which becomes part of the process of being chosen for the next round of competition.
The clip finishes with Quentin wowing the judges with a rendition of “Riptide” by Vance Joy.
