This week’s American Idol 10 power list. Scotty McCreery is back on top! He’s back in the lead after James Durbin had a less than stellar week of vocal performances. Too much crying–not enough on-pitch singing. But I still have him second.
I get the feeling the producers would love a Scotty/Lauren final, but we have never had a finale comprised of two finalists who sing within the same genreThe reason for that is vote splitting. All those country fans are voting for either Scotty or Lauren.
And I still think the contestants with a penis have a big advantage.
When Haley leaves next week (and I think she will) her votes will more than likely go to fellow pop/rocker James.
Here’s how I see things shaking out:
1. Scotty McCreery
2. James Durbin
3. Lauren Alaina
4. Haley Reinhart
At this point I give Scotty the edge to take it all. He’s been sailing through this competition with very few missteps and a lot of judges’ support.
