Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene had their turn, Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Today, American Idol 13 2nd runner up, Alex Preston, took his turn to perform on Live! With Kelly and Michael.
Alex performed his haunting, original song, “Fairytale,” accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. We’ll take that new album anytime you’re ready, Alex!
After the performance, the self-described “band geek” talked about the pleasure he took in learning new to play new instruments. Currently, the number is up to 12.
On his new BFF, singer/songwriter, Jason Mraz, Alex revealed that he’s so nervous when he gets a text from him, that it takes him awhile to respond! He’s got to take some time to craft the perfect response.
