I feel like now I have found out how to be myself, what really matters to me and I want to try to make it fresh now. More of that fresh pop vibe that’s going on now. That’s what I’m trying to do with this [new] album. They will feel the messages that I did with Postcards In The Sky, but it will be more pop. I never really focused on relationships and love songs before and I feel like I’ve allowed myself to open up back to that again. Song You Need to Know: Austin Jenckes, ‘Fat Kid’ – Austin Jenckes knows firsthand what it feels like to be the outcast. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, the reflective country singer was made fun of for his size throughout middle school. “I was 180 pounds in 8th grade,” he says. “When we picked teams at recess, I wasn’t allowed to be on the boys team. I hated that.” Jenckes, a fifth-season contestant on The Voice, channels that isolation — and his eventual transformation into a popular high-school football player — in his vulnerable new ballad, “Fat Kid.” Grammy-winning songwriter Lori McKenna sings harmony on the track, which she co-wrote with Jenckes’ former roommate Neil Mason of Southern-rock trio the Cadillac Three. John Schneider Accused of Hiding $180,000 ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Payday from Ex-Wife in Divorce Battle – John Schneider‘s ex-wife claims he pulled in over $180,000 for his appearance on “Dancing with the Stars” but she says he hid the money from her even though he owes the same amount in back support. John and Elvira “Elly” Schneider are set to face off in court later this year over the $18,5000 a month temporary spousal support he was ordered to pay her. ‘American Idol’ Chikezie Eze My Estranged Wife Vanished with Our Kids – Former “American Idol” contestant Chikezie Eze says his estranged wife disappeared more than a year ago and took their children … but he’s finally got the court’s help trying to locate them. Chikezie and his ex, Linda Iruke, have had their issues — he filed for divorce from her last year shortly after she accused him of domestic abuse and threats — but this is even more troubling.
