America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League – Boyband Travis Japan returns to AGT looking for a second chance

America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League airs its final Qualifiers episode on Monday, featuring the last of the Top 40 contestants.

In this sneak peek from the Episode, Japanese boy band Travis Japan recalls their season 17 audition in 2022, being buzzed by Howie Mandel who complained they weren’t singing in tune. The group feels they were so nervous that day, that they didn’t do their “best singing.” At the time, Simon Cowell saw something special about them and the group advanced to the Qualifiers where they were eliminated.

The group, hoping for a second chance on AGT: Fantasy League as members of Team Mel B., take the stage and immediately call Howie out for buzzing them. Mel boasts that the groups has been working hard. “Because of me!” quips Howie.

Travis Japan’s first outing on America’s Got Talent season 17 was pretty corny. But nevertheless, right after the season ended in 2022, Capitol Records signed the group and they released “Just Dance” the song they are performing here on AGT: Fantasy League.

They are still super corny! But the group’s choreography is tight. They sing mostly in unison, But this group is all about their energetic dance moves, rather than great singing. They definitely have stepped up their act in the last two years.

“Everytime you come on you make me happy,” says Simon

“I feel like you totally improved from the last time we saw you guys,” says Heidi Klum. “I also love that you came back, even though he (Howie) buzzed you the last time. She compliments their humility and feels they showed everybody that they are hard workers.

“You’re not the best singers in the world, that wasn’t the best song I’ve ever heard,” Simon remarks. But he has good things to say as well, “I love the fact that you are old school and actually every time you come on it makes me feel happy. This was way better than the first audition.”

Mel keeps interrupting Howie before Simon invites him to speak. “It doesn’t matter what I say because ultimately the audience has the choice.” Howie decides to sidestep the entire issue. But actually, on a week that’s FULL of fan favorites like Aiden Bryant, Anna Deguzman, Darci Lynne, The Clairvoyants, Brian Justin Crum, Sainted and more, they are going to have a tough time advancing to the semi-finals. Howie probably knows this and decided to be nice to their faces.

America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League airs on NBC Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT
