America’s Got Talent: All Stars will air its last audition episode on Monday (Feb 6). Before the show airs, watch a preview a performance from 18 year old rapper, Flau’Jae.
The young performer first appeared on America’s Got Talent season 13, and impressed the judges with her original rap song. The story was personal. Her father–an up and coming rap star himself–was shot and killed before she was born. The song had a strong anti-gun message. Judge Simon Cowell called her song his favorite of the season.
In the Judge Cuts, guest judge, actor Chris Hardwick, chose her as his Golden Buzzer, sending the 14 year old performer straight into the Quarter-final. Flau’Jae sang originals through her entire run, but it was not enough to get her to the semi-finals in 2018.
After Flau’Jae’s run on AGT, she got signed to Roc Nation, and opened up on tour for big artists. She also played basketball!
She’s still spitting the impressive rhymes. The song is good, but would be even better with a feature and better produciton.
“You at the moment are my MVP”
After the emotional performance, Howie Mandel said, “You are a songstress, you are an entertainer. As far as AGT: All Stars go, you at this moment is my MVP.” Heidi Klum calls her “talented and wise” beyond her years. Simon admits that he felt “very emotional” during her song. “You’ve come back even so much better.” He’s proud of her.
There are only 11 spots in the final. Ten have been filled, including ALL of the Golden Buzzers. Seems a little unfair, but this week, only ONE act will go through to the finale, voted through by the “superfans.” Winners Brandon Leake and Kodi Lee in addition to fan favorite acts like Josh Blue and Daneliya Tuleshova are competing this week. The competition for that last spot is going to be fierce.
America’s Got Talent: All Stars Week 6 auditions air on NBC Feb. 6 at 8 pm. And HEADS UP. Next week it’s a clip show! The schedule hasn’t been revealed yet, but the finale will air on either Feb 20 or 27.
