Adam Lambert guested on the BBC1 Breakfast club yesterday. He discussed his upcoming gigs with Queen in Eastern Europe and London.
About the Queen gig, Adam says, “It’s been surprisingly comfortable. It could have been a very intimidating situation, but Brian May and Roger Taylor are total class acts, very down to earth–we’re having a great time playing music.”
Adam insists he won’t be Freddie Mercury, whom he says is one of a kind. “No one will every replace Freddie Mercury. There’s no chance even trying. I’m just there to sing the music that he helped create, to pay respect and bring it to life.”
On UK success after American Idol, Adam says, “I think it’s right place right time, relationships are part of it–it’s all business at the end of the day, and making sure you make the right relationships–and then the music follows.”
