Adam Lambert was in London this weekend to perform his single “Superpower” on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. It’s the show that spawned America’s celebrity dance competition, Dancing with the Stars. Before viewers found out who would be the fifth contestant to leave the competition, the American Idol alum and Queen frontman took the stage with his band and dancers to perform. “Superpower” is off of the singer’s new EP Velvet: Side A.
By the way, it’s unusual for a musical guest to bring their own dancers–usually the pros dance alongside the musical guest–but Adam’s rep told Express.co. uk that the decision not to use the Strictly Come Dancing professionals was “a show decision not a guest artist’s decision.”
For those of you who care–Catherine Tyldesley became the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the competition. Some fun facts: DWTS judge, Bruno Tonioli sits on the Strictly panel, as did Len Goodman before he cut back his schedule a few seasons ago. Bruno flies back and forth between the UK and US on a weekly basis!
While Queen + Adam Lambert take a touring break, Adam will perform a handful of solo shows in December. Check out his tour schedule HERE.
