Adam Lambert debuts on Glee tonight as Elliot “Starchild” Gilbert. He’s a college student, theater geek, and well, kind of a try hard as he auditions for a spot in Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) Madonna cover band (New intel: According to Jane Lynch, the band is called “Pamela Lansbury“).

Adam throws everything he’s got at his audition, a performance of Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night”, including an over the top costume he sewed himself, chandelier singing, and those amazing high notes! He’s a hit with everyone but Kurt, who feels threatened. And the hilarity ensues from there.

Ahead of his debut, Adam is making the media rounds. He sat with Ryan Seacrest this morning for a radio interview, and talked not only about Glee, but his latest collaborations with Avicii and Queen, and the music he’s currently working on.

Adam talks about his Starchild role. The role, which is like a younger version of himself, is rejected by Kurt when he auditions for his band.

In this interview with Entertainment Weekly, Adam shares details on his upcoming album. He’s currently talking to potential record labels.

As for his music, Lambert is hard at work on his third studio album—he left RCA in July but is in talks with a handful of other labels for a record that could be completed as soon as next year. He also teased the possibility of reuniting with Queen for another go-round in the States. “It just feels like people are really thirsty for it,” he says. “I’m trying to stay busy on a lot of different projects. There’s room for everything, nothing’s exclusive. I’m juggling!”
