Adam Lambert Celebrates Bowie Birthday with ‘Starman’ Cover (Video)

On Friday, a star-studded roster of artists performed the songs of the late David Bowie on his 74th birthday. The performances were part of the live stream tribute, A Bowie Celebration: Just for One Day.

Hosted by pianist Mike Garson, Bowie’s long time band member, the three hour concert featured some of the artist’s best loved songs, including American Idol alum and Queen frontman, Adam Lambert.

The event also former members of the legend’s touring lineups through the years plus musical artists Trent Reznor, Perry Farrell, Joe Elliott of Def Leppard, Ian Astbury of The Cult, Billy Corgan, Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Peter Frampton, Rick Wakeman, Lzzy Hale. Taylor Momsen of Pretty Reckless, Lena Hall, Gary Barlow of Take That. Additionally, the supergroup Ground Control featuring Dave Navarro and Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins performed.
