2021 MTV Music Awards: Normani’s Goes Risque, Winners List

Normani Twerks in Teyana Taylor’s Face

One of the buzziest moments of the night came from former Fifth Harmony member, Normani.  Performing her latest single “Wild Side” the singer danced around a white stage as backup dancers performed behind her. But things got really “wild” at the end when Teyana Taylor was wheeled out onto the stage tied to a cross like contraption. Normani climbed up the structure, grinding and twerking. At one point Normani’s crotch was inches away from Teyana’s face.

Needless to say, after Normani’s risque performance, some people are gonna be BIG BIG MAD. And I’m here for it. Heh. Apparently the contraption and the twerking was a tribute to Janet Jackson who tied up a fan and gave him a lap dance on stage.

Speaking of Fifth Harmony, Normani’s former bandmate Camila Cabello performed as well. She sang her latest Latin flavored number. “Don’t Go Yet” off of her upcoming third studio album Familia. No bumping and grinding from Camila, but maybe later with her boyfriend, Shawn Mendes, who performed “Summer of Love” right after her.  Did Normani and Camila chat backstage? Probably not. It seems after Camila left the group, the gang didn’t stay friends.
