2015 Emmy Nominations – Full List

Uzo Aduba (Orange is the New Black) and Cat Deeley announced the 2015 Emmy nominees this morning. Stay tuned for the full list. Check out the full list of nominees at Emmys.com.

American Idol was unsurprisingly snubbed again, except for Lighting Design. At least Ryan Seacrest should be nominated in the Host category–and I’m sticking to that. Empire earned only TWO NOMS! Taraji P. Henson received a nod for her delicious portrayal of Cookie Lyon and the show was nominated in the Costume Design category (for Cookie’s awesome outfits, no doubt). I am also SHOCKED that none of the original music was nominated.  There’s a lot of competition in the drama categories. But I wouldn’t have been surprised to see supporting actor nods. Glee went out with NO acting or production nods. But a nice surprise: “This Time” the song Darren Criss penned for the finale is up for Best Original Song.

Here’s the Tally:

So You Think You Can Dance – 8 nominations (3 for choreography)
Dancing with the Stars – 8 nominations (2 for Choreography)
SNL – 7 nominations
SNL 40th Anniversary Special – 7 nominations
The Voice – 6 nominations
The Amazing Race – 3 nominations
Peter Pan Live! – 3 nominations (all technical)
Survivor – 2 nominations
Empire – 2 nominations (Lead Actress and Costumes)
RuPaul’s Drag Race – 1 nomination (Makeup, of course!)
DWTS 10th Anniversary Special – 1 nomination
Glee’s Darren Criss was nominated for “This Time”, the original song he wrote for the finale.
American Idol – ONE nomination – for Lighting Design (YAY KIERAN)
