Check out the cheeky cover art for Kris Allen’s upcoming Christmas EP!  The five song EP is coming soon, according to the American Idol season 8 winner. “Be on the lookout!” he tweeted, along with the photo.

The record will include “Holly Jolly Christmas” and more holiday favorites. Check out my recent interview with Kris Allen at the Little Kids Rock Gala in New York City HERE.

    I saw this on Kris’s twitter account and thought it was so cute. I get tired of hearing Christmas music from a week before Christmas until the 25th but I think this will be different:) Can’t wait to hear what Kris has done with these songs.

    That picture is really adorable. I will purchase this although I dislike White Christmas and Holly Jolly Christmas will always mean Burl Ives to me.  Maybe Kris will make me change my mind about those songs (wouldn’t be the first time).

    Love the cover art. As someone said above, it is just so Kris. I need some new Christmas music so I’m excited. Can’t wait to see how Kris puts his own personal touch on these classics.

    This is without a doubt the most adorable, funny, silly cover art for any Christmas EP.  I love it!  Bonus, no label exec had to approve it.  This has the same flare that Kris’s video for AWM had.  I can’t wait to hear what Kris does with these Christmas songs.

    Love the cover art and the other photo Kris posted. They are just so “him”.

    I’m not a big fan of Xmas music — I don’t have any Xmas albums and I don’t even listen to Xmas musi (except on Xmas eve/Christmas Day). But I’m looking forward to getting this, because I know Kris will do a great job with the songs. :)

    However I would have loved it if he had written an original Christmas song for this EP like Brooke White and Tim Halperin did.

    We really are overdue for a new Christmas classic – when was the last time someone penned one for the ages?  I hope Kris has more time next year to give it another try.   Judging by that adorable cover, he’s not lacking in holiday inspiration.

    Love the cover art and the hitchhiking pic. I sure hope that they consider having a physical CD of it. I’m a tactile person – I want that I can hold and feel it with my hands. And since I can’t touch the actual Kris, a physical pic will do LOL

    Love the cover -its so Kris. However regarding the songs- I can understand Kris not wanting to be too frivilous about the them. Afterall he is a Christian & there wouldn’t be Christmas were it not for “Christ’s’ birth. I am sure I am going to love them as I have in the past when he’s done versions of Christmas songs. I just hope they are available on our i-Tunes.

    I can’t wait to pick this up! Merry Krismas! I didn’t see anyone comment on this because it is old news, perhaps, but his guitarist Andrew worked on the EP with him. So you know some of these old classics will definitely get a little rework. Going to be great!

    Not a big Kris fan, but I love that cover art and i love Christmas music. I’ll probably check out his versions of O Holy Night and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
