Jennifer Hudson has a new acting gig! The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the American Idol alum and Oscar winner will be joining the Lifetime TV sequel to breast cancer anthology Five. Modern Family star, Sarah Hyland has also signed on. Bonnie Hunt has been tapped to direct one of the shorts.
The new anthology, tentatively tilted Five 2, will address mental illness.
Jennifer can also be seen in a guest starring role on Smash when it returns to NBC in January.
